Are there any foods I should not vacuum pack?
Do not vacuum package soft cheese, mushrooms and garlic.
Can I vacuum packing celery and then freeze?
No. Due to the high water content of this vegetable, it is recommended not freeze. Instead of freezing, wash and dry thoroughly, envásela vacuum in containers and store in the refrigerator until needed. That lasts up to 6 weeks.
Can I vacuum pack cooked foods?
Yes, except for tomatoes (see below the frequent question No. 2). Cooked foods should be at least at room temperature for vacuum packaging them. Otherwise, you risk appearing bacteria.
Is food can be defrosted in a bag?
Yes. You should thaw in the refrigerator all perishable foods vacuum packed. Never leave perishable food at room temperature while being vacuumed. Perishable foods must be vacuum-packed chilled or frozen. Foods that are inside of the bag nonsterile.
